The heavy weight theatre musical that has to be brought up is Phantom, one of the most magnificent musicals to ever be put on stage. This incredible show is the longest ever running theatre show in theatre history and the highest earning of all time. The theatre musical was created for the theatre by Andrew Lloyd Webber and describes the tale of a scarred French man who falls in love with a chorus singer from the local opera house. The mind-blowing songs of the musical are now legendary and the white mask worn by the Phantom of the Opera is so unmistakable that it’s apparent in countless fancy dress parties around the world. The theatre musical has been captivating audiences in London’s West End for in excess of 21 years now and is the 2nd longest ever running theatre musical in London’s history. One of the most recognized songs from the musical is I Dreamed a Dream, and it was also sung by talent show runner up Susan Boyle. The theatre show was nominated for over ten Tony awards and won eight of them, including very best theatre show.
